Another bump of this thread. It has been 6 weeks and the issue has not been addressed.
@tapioca - The ticket is still open. I have updated it to let engineering know our customers would like an update on the issue.
An update !! No, ...... your customers would like it fixed ! Engineering? ........at the rate this is progressing I suspect it is more like your ENGINEER.

This saga is beyond belief. Yahoo was my go to search engine and page in the mid 1990's. That was a long long time ago. You guys had a very poor CEO for a few years. But nevertheless, no excuse for such a mechanical issue to remain unresolved for so long. Clearly you guys don't really care.
