THIS NEW FINANCE VIEW IS AWFUL!!!! IT IS NOT APPROPRIATE FOR TRACKING STOCKS!!! TERRIBLE!!! RETURN THE PREVIOUS VIEW!!! I DOESN'T PROVIDE THE PROPER INFORMATION IN THE PROPER FORMAT AT ALL! AND THERE WAS NO NOTICE THAT THE CHANGE WAS COMING TO SAVE DATA. I HATE THIS VIEW AND SO DO MY FRIENDS. I WILL STOP USING YAHOO OVER THIS. HORRIBLE WAY TO VIEW INVESTMENTS!!! RETURN THE PREVIOUS VERSION OR GIVE ME THE OPTION TO USE PREVIOUS VERSION!!!
I agree. does anyone know if there is a way to return to the "classic" view????
I agree 100% plus....it is far less useful. How did they come up with this joke, they must of designed this in a vacume. I will have move on to a user friendly site and it looks like yahoo will not make the grade! This is a joke and is useless....please get me my old stock display program back!
I agree. This FORCED new views policy is terrib;e. Computers provide flexibility not just "one size fits all" and forcing users to comply.
There are no diections or Assistance links orovided to change back to the old system. It seems to happen randomly ad performnce degrades badlya nd I have the lastest fastest computer.
My question to yahoo...how will you stay in business with this joke. You will be losing me soon if this joke is not fixed!
Yes, I agree with everyone. This is not good. Is there a way to switch back to the classic view? I hope Yahoo is reading these messages.
So, I tried to create a new Portfolio, but now Yahoo DOES NOT allow you to enter more than one lot of a stock to view, unless you go to My Holdings to see it which is not a quick view for phones or desktop. So, if you bought XXX at 20 and another batch at 45 you cannot see how each batch is doing without using My Holdings and this takes tooooo much time. And, there is too much white space around the data which makes viewing - even on a Plus-size phone - awful.
Last week there was a way to switch back to Classic View, but that option has been removed dammit. It was in the lower right corner, but no more.
are changes made just for the sake of making a change .. whom ever makes the changes to the portifolio must not use it . it contains information that is not useful and the info we had before and use was elimated such as , how much was paid for a stock .. that is only one thing ..
the people that put this newest portifolio together must be so educated that he or she can't make or keep things simple
At one time you could click the lower right where it says to "send feedback" and choose go to old menu, but that no longer works.
I therefore went to google finance, although not as good as yahoo used to be, it is significantly better that the current view.
Also, if you notice, you cannot add or create a portfolio and start over. When you enter symbols, the page returns to the same startup page.
msn also has a portfolio view, but it also is not as good as yahoo used to be. For info on individual stocks, I recommend nasdaq.com For conversations, try stocktwits.com or go to the nasdaq.com site and they check twitter posts.
