We’ve made the difficult decision to discontinue the Yahoo Communities effective Jan 24, 2019.
Be assured you will still be able to find answers to your Yahoo product and app questions on the Yahoo Help website (https://help.yahoo.com). In addition, you’ll be able to find the Yahoo Community moderators on Twitter, responding from our many handles including @YahooCare and @YahooFantasyCC.
If you ever need help with your Yahoo accounts, try Yahoo Account Pro for 24/7 live phone support.
I was trying to use R quantmod to get historical stock price from Yahoo but get the error saying cannot open URL 'https://ichart.finance.yahoo.com/...'. When I manually type the address in the brower, I got following page https://ichart.finance.yahoo.com/ saying that "Yahoo will be right back... Thank you for your patience.....". Does this issue happen before? Will it be really solved in a short time?
Thank you very much.

Hi All - This feature was discontinued by the Finance team and they will not be reintroducing that functionality.
The Yahoo Finance Feedback Forum is the place where you can make product suggestions and provide feedback. We’re always trying to improve our products and use your feedback to inform changes. Here’s the url: https://yahoo.uservoice.com/forums/382977
Yes, I keep having this message when interrogating quantmode getSymbols.yahoo :
status was '504 Gateway Timeout'
it seems https://ichart.finance.yahoo.com/table.csv? does not respond ...
Problems in MATLAB araising again downloading historical data like last month.......Same problem downloading historical data using urlread, 12h ago was ok......Yahoo has changed something again.
People begin reporting that:
*Link Removed - See the community guidelines for more information.*
Looks like they changed thier download link address without any warning. The "Will be right back" error warning has been up for three days now.
Even using the YQL console doesn't work ..
For some reason I'm not able to link to yahooapis dot com, but if you use the link above you will see the *correct* way to link to Yahoo finance at the bottom of the page below "THE REST QUERY" (not using ichart... as shown in the post above). See also here: https://developer.yahoo.com/yql/guide/running-chapt.html
But then again, even this is not working right now.
