How do I forward a website URL with my yahoo email account using my iMac?

'Hoo Recruit

How do I forward a website URL with my yahoo email account using my iMac?

I have a new iMac, that runs macOS Mojave version 10.14.2, and Safari 12.0.2.

I often go to internet websites, and would like to forward them to others, using my yahoo mail account.

How do I setup my mail to be able to do this?

Thanks

Bruce L.

@brucelathrop

You can do that by copying the link for that website, click the Compose button inside your email account and paste the link in the body of the email.

Re: How do I forward a website URL with my yahoo email account using my iMac?

AdrianD,

Thanks for your answer.

Yes, I understand and have used that in the past.

I guess my 'better' question should be as follows:

When I'm on a website and want toforward it, I go to File>Share>Email this Page--and then I'm lost. How do I set Yahoo mail as the automatic choice to forward the URL?

Any further help?

Thanks,

Bruce

@brucelathrop

In Firefox, there's an "Email Link" option under File that you can use if Yahoo is set as your default email program for it.

Nope, not an answer to my question.

Please let my posts to get a handle on my specific questions.

Thanks!

@brucelathrop

You're trying to set Yahoo Mail as the default program so you can email a page URL directly to people, correct?

@brucelathrop

So the closest thing (that I'm aware of) to this is what I mentioned earlier in Firefox. Using the "Email link" option will bring up a new message windows in Yahoo Mail (if you have Yahoo set as the default in the browser) and will populate the subject line with the title of the other page you're on.
