Re: email recovery

@qm1

Those are the only ways to recover an account. Sorry.

Feel free to reply if my question or answer is not clear. Include @Barkley_Hound in the post.
I do not work for Yahoo and my postings are just my opinion based on experience.
Make sure your phone and email are current. There is no way to verify or recover an account without them.

Re: email recovery

I am having a similar issue but it doesnt even ask me the security questions. It jut says point blank, “Sorry we can not recover your account.” I can not tell you how angry I am about the lack of customer support with huge company called YAHOO.

@amymoure

Secret questions have not been created for over a year. They are rarely asked unless there is no phone or email on file. If there is a phone or email on file and they are not current there is no way to force the secret questions to be asked.

@amymoure

We take your account's privacy and security very seriously, and we'll only let you reclaim an account if you can prove you're the rightful owner.

When you register for an account, it's up to you to provide the most up-to-date and valid recovery info. Your best option to avoid losing access is to update your recovery info if you get a new phone number or change your alternate email address.

To get in to your account you need to use the sign-in helper at https://login.yahoo.com/forgot?lang=en-US which will send a code to the recovery phone or email that only you have access to. If you don't have access to recovery you can't recover.

It is an automated system, if you don't have the needed tools no one can help you.

Make a new account and be sure your keep recovery up to date to avoid problems like this in the future. https://help.yahoo.com/kb/create-yahoo-account-sln2056.html
