Question about deletion of old email account

My most recent yahoo email address is the one I'm currently using. Many years ago, I'd say at least six or seven I started a Yahoo email but created a seperate account some years later and really forgot about the old one. I've since lost access to the old one but simply wanted to delete it. How long does Yahoo take to terminate an account due to inactivity?

Re: Question about deletion of old email account

It is terminated after one year. It is possible that someone else now has that address.

Feel free to Reply if my question or answer is not clear. Include @Barkley_Hound in the post.
I do not work for Yahoo and my replies are just my opinion based on experience.
Make sure your phone and email are current. There is no way to verify or recover an account without them.
