Change of phone and phone number

Hi,
My phone was accidentally reset to the factory reset. I lost all the data and applications. After downloading the new yahoo app, I cant use the account key to sign in any more. The alternative way is sending the sms to my phone number but I changed phone number and it is my fault that I forgot to update the new one on my profile (The old sim card already deactivated. I contacted to the mobile data company but they cannot do anything). I just need help to get my account back because I linked everything of my life to that account Or just need to cancel the way logging into email vie account keys for me? I am 100% sure that I still remember my password.

Try to connect with the specialist so many time. They provide me 2 questions. One of them is name of the folders that was created by me. Since I haven't used it almost two years, tbh I can't remember anything. But how you want me to tab on the key icon is funny. Anyone can access to my account by taping it from the phone but the owner can't get anymore chances to prove themselves just need to name the folders on email.

Taking private and security very seriously... how about the varieties of identifying the account owner?

Thank you so much

You mentioned "I haven't used it almost two years".  Yahoo requires that you sign into your account at least once every 12 months in order for your account to remain active.  Otherwise your account is deactivated due to inactivity.  Once that happens it's unlikely you can recover this account.

If you have the feature "Yahoo Account Key" enabled you can use the next article to recover your account even if you have a new phone and a new phone number.

Fix issues with Yahoo Account Key - https://help.yahoo.com/kb/mail/questions-issues-yahoo-account-key-sln25921.html

If your account is still active and you currently live in the US then you are in luck as this article shows Yahoo recently started offering a Yahoo Account Pro service that offers phone support for a small fee.

Please note that the classic version of Yahoo Mail will no longer be available after January 30, 2019. At that time, you'll be upgraded to the latest version of Yahoo Mail or basic Mail, depending on your browser's compatibility.

Hi, thank you for your reply.
May be I didn't make it clear enough. I mean I didn't pay attention to the folders to adjust, change or create the new folders for almost 2 years. I didn't create upto 5 folders but the system keeps telling me to name it at least 5 names 😢

I'm sorry but Yahoo can't provide support unless you can be verified as the rightful owner of the account in question.

What part of the world are you in?  If you believe Yahoo should provide expanded account recovery options you can provide that feedback here.

FYI - If you are making an anchor account, one that you will use to connect everything else in your life to, I would choose a paid email service provider.  They usually provide expanded support options.
