You can check what email addresses are registered to your account by putting your cursor on the Gear icon:

  • Click on "Settings".
  • Under Settings click on "Accounts".
  • To the right you will see "Email Addresses"
  • The first email address you see is your primary email address.

As the article says all new Yahoo accounts are created with the Yahoo.com domain.  You can no longer create an account with a domain-specific extension like .co.uk .

Is this a free Yahoo account that you are using as a business email or is this a Yahoo Small Business Account?  If it is the former it is actually a violation of the Yahoo Terms of Service to use a free Yahoo account for business purposes.  See clause 12 for more information.  Doing so will lead to your account being deactivated or deleted without notice.  Accounts deactivated due to a TOS violation are not recoverable.  If it is the latter you would need to contact Yahoo Small Business help using the following two articles.

If you need assistance with your Yahoo Small Business account you should look here - https://help.smallbusiness.yahoo.net/s/

How do I contact Yahoo Small Business & Commerce Central support - https://help.smallbusiness.yahoo.net/s/article/ka21a000000M3plAAC/SLN7554

If you need an account for Business purposes I would suggest you go to Yahoo Small Business - https://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/ and click on the "Business Mail" link to get started.

Domain extensions in Yahoo Mail - https://help.yahoo.com/kb/mail-for-desktop/SLN2153.html?impressions=true

When was the last time you had logged into the .co.uk account?  When you first signed into this account was your inbox empty?  When you send emails to the .co.uk email address do they come back as undeliverable?  When you check your account to see what email addresses are attached to it do you see the .co.uk email address listed or is it just the .com address?  When you send emails to the .com address do they appear in your Inbox?

Re: why is my account now .com and not the .co.uk as i set it up?

Hi ArthurDent

Thanks yet again for the info, it isnt a business account its a personal one but as i couldnt seem to get a response from yahoo i thought if i said business they would take more notice of me!!!! I do find it irritating that you cant seem to speak to yahoo, but then i suppose as it is a free service unless you are paying theyre not interested in supporting you. I set the email up for my grandad to send him grandchild photos as he was bought a laptop for his birthday so when i tried to send him a message and it came back not an email address i couldnt understand it (and wondered if he may have done something as he is new to IT and clicks on everything)
