News feed email shows more emails than in my inbox

News feed email shows more emails than in my inbox

I have seen other people with this problem before.  This has been happening for me for the last 6 months or so.  I keep thinking I have more messages than I do.  Is there a way that someone else is using my email account?

You can check if someone is using your account as follows. Click on the gear and select "account info". Select "recent activity". If there are any strange entries then click "sign out" next to them and change your password.

In 25 days (January 31, 2019) the Classic version of Yahoo Mail will no longer be available. At that time you'll be upgraded to the newest version of Yahoo Mail or Basic Mail depending on your browser's compatibility.

Greetings @mbjjbtb

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "News feed email"?  Where are you seeing this?  Are you viewing your account from a laptop, desktop, phone, or tablet?  What browser or app are you using to do this?  What version of Yahoo mail are you using?
