Thursday Free Agents and Waiver Time?

Thursday Free Agents and Waiver Time?

In our league players are on waiver "Game Time - Tuesday."  Which I believe is fairly standard.  However, we want all players dropped on Wednesday to be FA on Thursday to accomodate Thursday night games.  I set the waiver time to "1 Day," assuming this would address the issue but players are still not available until Friday.  If I am understanding things correctly this is because partial days don't count.  So the player drops on Wednesday (doesn't count), Thursday is the "1 Day," and the player is available Friday.  Correct?

So if we set it to "No Waivers" does it still follow the no partial day rule?  We don't want players to become instantaneoulsy FA.  We just want them available by the Thursday night game.

Thank you for the help!

Switching waiver methods does not take affect until the following week, so if you switch now, it won't happen until after next Tuesday.

Your understanding of Game time - Tuesday is correct on the point of players dropped during the Tuesday night waiver cycle, which is really Wednesday morning, will not be available for Thursday games with a 1 day waiver setting.

No Waivers, doesn't work like you think it does.  No waivers means no player is ever on waivers at any time, so players can actually be picked during their games.  So if some star gets hurt and the back up comes in and is unowned in your league, the first manager to add him gets him, even though the game has started.
