The number of messages you get in your Yahoo Mail inbox can be impressive, but I'm sure you could use some organization.
Luckily, you can create folders in Yahoo Mail to group emails together.
On the left, mouse over “Folders” | click the New Folder icon.
Enter the name of your folder.
Once the folders have been created, emails can be moved from folder to folder in a few different ways.
From any folder, select the checkbox for the email(s) you want to move. - If you're viewing a single message, continue to step 2.
Click the destination folder's name in the drop-down list or click New Folder.
Click a folder's name - Your emails are moved to the selected folder.
Click New Folder - Enter a name for the folder and click OK. The folder is created and your selected emails are moved to it.
All folders can be modified or personalized.
Right-click (control-click on Mac) any folder you’ve created to perform more folder actions.
Create subfolder - Group folders under other folders.
Rename folder - Change the name of a folder.
Move folder - Rearrange your folders’ order.
Delete folder - Remove any empty folders.

It's easy to manage folders in the app.
Tap the Menu icon
Scroll to the bottom of the menu.
TapCreate new folder. - The "Create Folder" window appears.
Enter a new folder name.
You'll see a similar process when creating folders using your Android device.
Tap the Menu icon.
Under “Folders,” tap Add folder.
Enter the folder name.
The iOS and Android apps let you manage folders in different ways.
In addition to folders you create, Yahoo Mail also features Smart View folders which automatically group like email together.
Smart Views are found in the left column of your mail, just above the folders you made. Like a folder, just click a Smart View label to view its contents, which includes both sent and received messages.
Important - Emails from the most commonly used contacts.
People - Correspondence sent by people, not websites or companies.
Social - Anything from Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, or other social networks.
Travel - Emails from airlines, public transit, and the like.
Shopping - Messages to or from retailers like Groupon, eBay, and iTunes.
Finance - Emails to or from financial institutions like E*TRADE.
Saved Searches - Search terms are saved as a Smart View after the fifth use. To create a search Smart View click Save at the top of the search results.
Smart Views can be customized to suit your organizational needs. Open a Smart View and click on "refine" to get the option to define which types of emails are sent there.
