What is an Accepted Solution?
Accepted Solutions is a way for you to choose the reply that best answers a question that you've posted. When you accept a solution, both the question and the solution get special icons and links that take you directly from the question to the answer. An Accepted Solutions icon also appears on boards and in search results so you can see which messages have solutions. You can mark a solution as accepted only for questions that you've posted (you started the thread). Community moderators can also mark one of the replies to a message as an accepted solution.
How do I mark a message as a solution?
To mark a message as a solution, click Solution? on the reply. If you change your mind or if another reply provides an even better answer, you can revoke the first selection and accept the second reply. To revoke an accepted solution, click Options > Unmark as Accepted Solution. You can choose another solution or leave the question unsolved.
What are kudos?
Kudos is a content rating system that lets you vote for the messages you think are the most useful or important. When you give kudos to a message, you are giving a thumbs-up for good content and a pat on the back to its author. Your kudos help to boost the value of certain messages and enhance the reputation of their authors. Giving kudos is as easy as a single click, but the impact of kudos ripples across the community.
How do I give Kudos?
You can give Kudos to any posts in the community except your own. To give kudos to a message and its author, click Kudos! on the message. If you change your mind about the quality of the message, you can revoke your kudos. To revoke kudos you've given, click Options > Revoke My Kudos from this Message.

Promotion may only be entered in or from the 50 United States and the District of Columbia and entries originating from any other jurisdiction are not eligible for entry. This Promotion is governed exclusively by the laws of the United States. You are not authorized to participate in the Promotion if you are not a legal resident of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia.
Important Notice: If you choose to enter on your mobile device using a mobile device on a wireless service provider’s network (as opposed to on a Wi-Fi network), your wireless carrier’s text and data rates apply. You should consult your wireless service provider’s pricing plan for details. You agree to incur any and all charges demanded by your wireless carrier.
Providing a Submission constitutes entrant’s consent to give Sponsor a royalty-free, irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, create derivative works from, and display such Submission in whole or in part, on a worldwide basis, in perpetuity, and to incorporate it into other works, in any form, media or technology now known or later developed, for any purpose whatsoever, including for promotional or marketing purposes.
Each entrant acknowledges that other entrants may have used ideas and/or concepts in their Submission that may be similar in idea or concept to what is included in entrant’s Submission. Each entrant understands and agrees that he/she shall not have any claim against any other entrant or Sponsor arising out any such similarity or be entitled to any compensation because of any such similarity.
Sponsor’s decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to this Promotion, including, but not limited to, interpretation and application of these Official Rules. By entering the Promotion, entrants fully and unconditionally agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the judges, which will be final and binding in all matters relating to the Promotion.
All valid Submissions received during the Promotion Period will be judged by the Yahoo Care team (or their representatives) (the “Editors”), based on the number of contest points (kudo given = 1 pt, kudo received = 2 pts, solution accepted = 3 pts, solution authored = 5 pts) the Submission receives, and the strength of the Submission’s relevance to Yahoo company and brand guidelines and values, as determined by the Editors in their sole discretion (the “Judging Criteria”). The three (3) eligible entrants who submitted the Submissions that receive the three (3) highest total number of contest points and scored highest in the Editors’ determination will be named the potential winners, subject to Sponsor’s final verification. In the event of a tie, the Editors will determine the winners using the Judging Criteria and looking at the total reply count for each applicable Submission during the Promotion Period. The judges reserve the right to select no winners or less than three (3) winners if there are an insufficient number of eligible, complete, tasteful, or otherwise appropriate Submissions that conform with the Guidelines and Restrictions.
If any winner cannot be contacted within five (5) calendar days of first notification attempt, if any prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, if any winner rejects his/her prize or in the event of noncompliance with these Promotion rules and requirements, such prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to the entrant whose Submissions received the next highest score. Upon prize forfeiture, no compensation will be given.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROMOTION MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
